MMI launches Automate Version
4 for Vauxhall Dealers

26th October, 2005

MMI Automotive has announced the
launch of V4.0.0.6 of the company’s
highly successful DMS, Automate, in
response to user demand.

The new version has been developed
to meet the requirement set out by
General Motors Europe for all dealers in
the UK to meet Pan-European integration
standards for DMS. Automate V4.0.0.6
provides all Vauxhall Automate users with
all the available European integration to meet
the Vauxhall European Franchise Standard.

David Hayward, Managing Director at MMI Automotive commented “We were made aware of these requirements by GM Europe and they were discussed at a subsequent Vauxhall user group meeting.  We are pleased to be able to introduce this version of Automate for our Vauxhall dealer customers.”

New functionality has been added or existing functionality updated to ensure all of the following modules are ready for integration with Exchange when it is released GM Europe:

  • Parts Order Entry
  • Parts Order Acknowledgements
  • Web Parts Locator
  • Rapier: (also includes automatic supersessions).
  • Warranty Claims and Corrections
  • Warranty Acknowledgement Information
  • EPC3: Full bi-directional integration using latest XML and Web Services technology.
  • TIS2000

This is in addition to functionality already
included with Automate including
integration with Trackerpac, Trade Club
and Menu Pricing.

Dave Hayward added, “As the first
DMS provider to allow integration
with Menu Pricing, we are looking
forward to the changes in MP2
allowing the ability to DEAL.”

MMI Automotive plans to add further
functionality to integrate with
Vauxhall’s Order Work Bench as soon
as GM Europe’s own application is issued.

Vauxhall retailers will also benefit from
general enhancements to the Showroom
Prospecting and Parts Marketing modules, together
with the enhanced e-mail and SMS marketing changes.

Since MMI announced their commitment to provide these free of charge enhancements they have also developed a marketing extract for Masterfit, which is encompassed within version 4.0.0.6.

Version 4 will be the main topic for debate at the next Automate Vauxhall user group meeting sponsored by MMI which takes place in November 2005.
