MMI Automate introduces new
workshop clocking module

11th September, 2006

MMI has introduced Autoclock, a new
workshop clocking module, for its
dealer management system Automate.
Autoclock allows dealer managers to
analyse time and attendance, and
provide real-time job costings quickly
and easily.

Employees clock on and off using
Autoclock which directly outputs into
Automate, so time and attendance are
logged against current workshop jobs,
automatically updating the work in progress
status. Using Automate’s analytical tools, managers can get an accurate picture of labour utilisation per job, enabling them to obtain accurate costings and improve efficiency in the workshop. The Windows-based system also logs attended time which downloads the relevant information straight into payroll.

Autoclock has a fully integrated
barcoding system together with touch
screen technology, for permanent
capture of time.  The system can also
print out warranty labels for
manufacturer warranty claims.

“Autoclock not only minimises the
administrative burden for dealer
managers but also provides
accurate real-time information which
will help them run their businesses
more effectively,” commented David
Hayward, Managing Director of
MMI Automotive.
