MMI Teams up with Experian for
V Data Checking

16th January, 2007

MMI Automotive has announced a
new agreement with Experian to
provide Automate customers with
Vehicle Data Check information as
part of their fully integrated DMS.

This new service from MMI Automate
will give dealers access to over 200
data sets from more than 80 million
vehicle records in the Experian database
by simply keying in the Vehicle Registration
mark (VRM).  This data then automatically
back-fills the DMS with details of the vehicle.
It can also be used, for example, to add a
vehicle to the CRM or stock modules and to provide used car values; all of this without re-keying or entering stock manually.  Automate users can access any level of service they choose, from a simple VRM lookup to verify the identity of a vehicle to a fully indemnified vehicle provenance Gold Check.  Parts departments can use the information to verify exact details of a vehicle when a customer needs a new part eliminating the need for stock returns and saving time and money for both the dealer and the customer.

David Hayward, Managing Director at MMI
Automotive, commented: - “This new
service from Automate and Experian is
not only easy to use but is right first
time every time.  Dealers using
Automate have the peace of mind of
fully indemnified data imported direct
into their DMS making sure they
have the information to run their
business safely and at less cost.”

This is the second fully integrated
service that MMI have incorporated
from their partnership with Experian.
Earlier this year MMI launched the
integration of Experian Intact Automotive
into Automate, a data cleansing service for
the automotive industry which enables dealers
to ensure their data bases are up to date and are
an efficient marketing tool for their business.
