Automate Controls the
Profitability of Workshop Fluids

1st April, 2008

In today’s competitive and
cost-centred environment the
management and control of bulk
oil stocks in the workshop is vital
to the profitability of any automotive
organisation.

Recognising this, MMI has teamed up
with Lumatic to fully integrate the
Fluicon Oil Monitoring System into its
Automate DMS. This integrated system
allows businesses to take control of their oil
stocks by restricting access to only those
authorised, providing full traceability of all oils with reports as required and managing stock and re-order levels.

Andrew Dolinski, Finance Director at Spratley’s of Mortimer, recognised the value of fluid control in the workshop and worked with MMI to install the Fluicon / Automate system.

“We used to rely on our technicians to manually record the dispensing of bulk oil. Errors were inevitable, resulting in a loss of revenue and inaccurate stock levels. MMI recognised these problems and introduced us to the Lumatic Fluicon Fluid Management System and its ability to fully integrate with our Automate DMS. The installation of the system was carried out with minimum disruption and was immediately welcomed by all members of staff.

“The dispensing of oil is now PIN
protected and records automatically
and accurately onto the correct job
card. Not only is our revenue
protected but we are assured of
accurate stock levels at all times.
What more could we have
asked for?”

David Hayward, Managing Director
of MMI Automotive added,

“MMI recognises that to provide the
best DMS we need to be continuously
working with our customers to develop
new solutions and integrations to help
them make their businesses
more profitable.”
