Automate wins with Whitmores
14th April, 2008
MMI Automotive has signed a new
contract with Kent-based Whitmores
Vauxhall, to supply its Automate
dealer management system across
the three site franchise.
Whitmores is currently under contract
with DMS provider Kalamazoo, and is
switching to MMI’s Automate DMS as
part of the Vauxhall changeover.
Whitmores started in Edenbridge, Kent
18 years ago. Since then two more
facilities have been opened – in Chislehurst
and Sevenoaks. Today the company employs
130 people. Staff across all departments, from all
three facilities will receive appropriate training prior
to the system going live on 1st July 2008.

Dorothy Pettitt, financial director at
Whitmores, explains more about
how the company will benefit from
Automate.
“User-friendliness is one of the
system’s best features,” she
says. “The professional service and
support on offer is very highly
praised by users I’ve spoken to, and
Automate offers great
value-for-money over competitor
products. There hasn’t been any
negative feedback about any aspect
of the system or after sales service
- which has got to be good news.”
David Hayward, MMI Automotive’s managing
director, is delighted with Whitmores’ decision,
and for such excellent feedback.
“It’s great that we have such a loyal network of customers,” he says. “We have a very high client retention rate, and we continue to encroach on market share from a number of competitors. Whitmores is exactly the type of customer we’re keen to attract – a multi-site dealership with an excellent reputation, so we’re very pleased to have them on board.”
